Certified Dental Assistant
Melanie is one of our EFDA certified dental assistants. She has been assisting since 1995 and has been with Dr. Geelan since he started the practice. Melanie truly enjoys getting to know our patients. She loves placing them at ease, and loves helping them achieve their beautiful smiles. Outside of work, she can be found in her garden, hiking, or anywhere outside enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Janine is one of our hygienists. She graduated from Portland Community College’s dental hygiene program in 1980. Janine absolutely adores her patients and loves to develop relationships with them. She finds great satisfaction in taking someone from a state of disease to a state of health through treatment and education. Her emphasis is on prevention and maintaining dental health. In her free time, you can find Janine cheering on OSU, doing Crossfit, caring for her flower garden (her favorite is making moss baskets), shopping for antiques (or anything really!), cooking and baking. Traveling is another of her favorite things to do. She loves going to Hawaii, and has a bucket list of places she’d like to see & things she’d like to do.
Tasha graduated from the MHCC dental hygiene program at the top of her class and has been recognized by the ADHA for her leadership and commitment to the dental field. She is passionate about dentistry and the care she provides, tailoring each visit to the individual needs of every patient she sees. Known for her kind nature and outstanding technique she always connects and makes patient comfort a top priority. Patients leave Tasha’s chair feeling supported and educated. Outside of dentistry this native Portlander lives with her husband, darling daughter, and their two dogs. Together they explore Portland culture and adventure in the outdoors.
