Oral Sedation

Oral sedation dentistry is a common form of dental sedation that patients ask for. This type of dentistry involves taking a pill or two, usually Halcion (triazolam) to take away those feelings of anxiety that many patients may have. This drug is a controlled substance, and is a benzodiazepine, often called a sedative or hypnotic. Patients who are fairly apprehensive of having dental work done may benefit from this drug.
